I'll be giving this to Mouse tomorrow; hope he likes it. I do need to properly attatch the button eyes today - they're threaded through with a plastic cotter pin right now, which won't feel very good against the scalp, so I need to sew them in properly. Maybe use a bit of felt to cusion the butt-end of the button shank, too. I'll see what I've ( Read more... )

Born of a hissy fit of Do!Not!Want! over the scarf I'd made for my father earlier this year. Gifting the scarf I'd originally made for Mickey to my Dad was a quick Christmas Day fix, but left me one scarf short. A nine-day sweater that took much less than that to knit - I'm still not a fan of finishing work. Nice and quick and pulled seven balls of yarn out of my stash. ...and just in time to wear on the first snowy day of the season.

Took a little while to get pictures done, particularly for the sweater - I needed to catch Vilmos when we both had time for a photo shoot. This camera? I love this camera. Not for the speed, although that is brilliant, but because it can see reds and purples accurately. Whee!

Finished up this scarf for my Dad's Christmas gift a few days ago, but I finally got it photographed today.

I am very frustrated with our camera, which has lost the ability to accurately represent any shades of red. So this scarf is neither as dark as the first photo, nor as pink as the second photo - it's actually burgundy *headdesk*

Finished last week, but hadn't had a chance to pull out the sofabed for a blocking board until this past Wednesday. I'm lazy about photographing my knitting these days, but had to get this done this morning before Dad arrived to take the shawl to the church.

I really like this pattern. I'm thinking of adapting it to make a big round blanket.

One more shawl done, one left to go. I'm about to finish the second ball of four in Mum's Kiri, so that's pretty good. Particularly as *fanfare* I have my MiL's shawl off the needles! Wrapped, even!
